This course is perfect for anybody who is interested in learning what to do during a pet emergency and would like to gain a qualification in animal care.

This course provides the knowledge and practical skills to prepare you to help small animals in an emergency. The course will focus mainly on dogs, cats and rabbits but other small furries such as ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchilla and hamsters may be also discussed. You will gain confidence in handling fractures, poisoning, burns, stings, shock, bites, wounds and bandaging, and more. You will also learn CPR techniques tailored for pets while learning vital skills for their safety.

You will also learn how to handle and transport an injured animal during an emergency.
